Cpl. Leonard Lord Dedication
Join us on April 12, 2026 at 1:00 pm in Riverside Cemetery for a special ceremony honoring the life of Cpl. Leonard Lord. Lord is buried in Riverside Cemetery on North River Street in Swanton, and he was the first Vermonter to be killed during WWI. The Swanton Cemetery Commission will be honoring Lord with a historical roadside marker. Following the dedication, VFW Post 778 will host a gathering. We hope to see you there!
